Some remix artists are just self-important idjiots who add a robotic beat or mix things up a little. This remix album is not that at all; it's simply quite incredible. Bryn Jones' songs are taken in new mutated directions, and almost every single track works beautifully. Standouts are "Fakir" and "ZakatZakat", but I have not yet found a track that has disappointed. I am sad Bryn did not live to hear this; I think he would have been impressed. Some songs are 30 seconds long and some over 5 minutes. I don't know all of the original source songs, though I'm pretty versed in Muslimgauze (he was ridiculously prolific). It's so nice to hear a tribute/remix album that lives up to its source material.
